The Business Forum co-chaired by Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico on the afternoon of April 13, 2026, has opened a new chapter for industrial cooperation between the two nations. Among more than 400 participating enterprises, Export Mechanical Tools Joint Stock Company (EMTC) was honored to represent the mechanical engineering sector, seeking opportunities to bring Vietnamese products to the global stage.
Strategic "Touchpoints" at the Governmental Level
The forum was more than just a trade exchange; it was a testament to the stature of a relationship recently upgraded to a Strategic Partnership. Under the theme “Promoting Economic Cooperation, Expanding Bilateral Investment Opportunities,” both Prime Ministers outlined specific roadmaps for spearheading industries: manufacturing, precision machining, and high technology.
For mechanical enterprises like EMTC, the Prime Ministers' message on "forming joint value chains toward EU and ASEAN markets" serves as a North Star. Slovakia, as a gateway to Central Europe, provides not only advanced technology but also a launchpad for "Make in Vietnam" mechanical products to penetrate deeper into the potential European Union market.
EMTC: Accompanying the HAMI Business Community
Joining the delegation of the Hanoi Association of Main Industrial Products (HAMI), EMTC representatives engaged in substantive discussions with international partners. This high-level event provided an invaluable opportunity for the company to benchmark its actual capabilities against stringent global standards.
Adopting a humble yet practical approach, EMTC demonstrated its readiness through robust manufacturing infrastructure and advanced management systems. From precision CNC machining lines at our factories to compliance with international certifications, the company is steadily preparing to become a reliable link in the supply chain for automotive parts, elevators, and heavy industrial equipment—areas where Slovakia holds traditional strengths.
A Vision Built on Authentic Values
While the opportunities arising from the April 13 Forum are immense, the challenges of digital transformation and green production are equally significant. The focus on strengthening defense and mechanical engineering industries, as emphasized by the two leaders, requires companies like EMTC to be more decisive in mastering core technologies.
Learning from countries with long-standing industrial traditions like Slovakia is the shortest path to closing the technical gap. For EMTC, every handshake at the Forum represents more than just a potential contract; it is a step forward in management and production mindset, aiming for sustainable goals in a new industrial era.
The journey to the "great ocean" for Vietnamese mechanical engineering remains long. However, with the close attention of the Government and the proactivity of value-driven enterprises like EMTC, we have every reason to believe in a new standing on the global industrial map.
